Hopefully by now you will have at least one site online with at least one revenue method in place. You have developed the content and exchanged links in order to gain hits and PR. Now you are playing the waiting game, you may want to add more articles to you site on a weekly or monthly basis just to boost the growth but to make it big online you are going to have to expand. There are several ways you can approach expansion, the obvious option is to create another site, or add another service onto your current site but there are other ways.

Creating more sites

This is the most straight forward way to go if you want to go for the simple option, just follow through the steps but with a different site on a different topic. You can do this over and over and if you can create five different sites, with good content you will probably be able to live of the revenue.

Provide another service

The second easiest approach is to add something to your site, so a flower site discussing about real flowers, may expand into a gardening site providing information on flowers, plants, vegetables, and gardening techniques. If you choose this method instead of adding bits to you current site, go back to basics. Keep the sites content but change the front page to make it easy to navigate through the new topics and make sure that each topic and subject is on its own page. Depending on the demand for the area that you expand into depends how much you will gain money wise but expanding will help your site gain a higher presence resulting in more visitors.

Selling Sites

Now this method may require more work or it may be easier then the two above depending how you want to approach it. You can ether sell people your site that you have created for them to put on another domain. This approach means that there is less work required but as you sell more copies any revenue from ads on your site will slowly shrink as your site becomes one of a thousand instead of its own entity.

You can also build a new site to sell, or a smaller version of your site, this way you will not loose as much revenue from your existing site and gain money from selling sites. Although this option requires more work you can then have a site that is unique to you and one which you sell, thus you will increase your revenue further.

There are other methods to expanding markets, you could put the same site up on a different domain for example, but I am not going to go into every method. As you gain experience in the field you will come up with your own exciting ideas to increase your revenue online.
